IS Education, Training, and Learning Technologies Track

IS and IT education is required to not only produce high-quality ICT professionals but it must also be adaptive to the changing landscape and embrace innovation for relevance, sustainability and creativity.  The focus on sustainability and sense-making highlights the drive for educators to exploit technology in ways that demonstrate long-term impact and improved business acumen.  The IS Education, Training, and Learning Technologies track focuses on all aspects of IS education theories and practice.

In addition, papers are sought on the role and use of technology in education and training especially those technologies that help to improve the student experience.  We welcome high-quality research papers and studies employing all research methods and approaches.

Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

  • Innovative pedagogy e.g. blended and hybrid learning;
  • Use of online delivery methods;
  • MOOCs;
  • Technology-enabled active learning;
  • Learning analytics and big data in education and training;
  • Innovative assessment and evaluation using ICT;
  • Gamification in education and training;
  • Emerging technologies in IS education;
  • Mobile education.
